Durante los veranos y otoños de los años 2016 a 2018 he trabajado como técnico de campo para el proyecto Interreg POCTEFA Lindus 2 (ver entradas anteriores) en los puertos occidentales del Pirineo aragonés, con el objetivo de comenzar a conocer la migración post-nupcial de aves en Aragón. Estoy convencido de que será una de las experiencias profesionales que voy a recordar en el futuro con más cariño, fundamentalmente por tres razones principales.
During the summers and autumns of the years 2016 to 2018 I worked as a field technician for the Interreg POCTEFA Lindus 2 project (see previous entries) in the western ports of the Aragonese Pyrenees, with the aim of starting to know the post-nuptial migration of Birds in Aragon. I am convinced that it will be one of the professional experiences that I will remember in the future with more affection, mainly for three main reasons.
La primera y sin duda la más lógica, es poder desarrollar mi mayor afición o hobby así como mis conocimientos ornitológicos y curriculares en una labor profesional (me sigue pareciendo increíble el haber tenido un sueldo por observar aves) y poder transmitir mi pasión por la misma a los voluntarios y personas que participaron en las diferentes actividades de divulgación y concienciación asociadas al proyecto.
The first and undoubtedly the most logical, is to be able to develop my greatest hobby as well as my ornithological and curricular knowledge in a professional work (I still find it incredible to have had a salary for bird watching) and to be able to transmit my passion for it to the volunteers and people who participated in the different environmental and awareness activities associated with the project.

La segunda, por poder hacerlo en un sitio tan mágico y especial para mi como es el Pirineo. No es la primera vez que me deleito en elogios a este lugar, pero aunque censábamos siempre en los mismos puestos con las mismas vistas, cada día descubrías algo nuevo que no te habías dado cuenta o te volvías a maravillar por la belleza de cada uno de sus rincones. Si a eso le sumas el poder observar un espectáculo tan impresionante como es el que te pasen por encima de la cabeza cientos de ejemplares de especies como milano negro, vencejo común, golondrina común, avión común, abejero europeo, grulla común... en un sólo día estando en collados a casi 2000 m.s.n.m... faltan palabras para poder describir lo que se siente.
The second, to be able to do it in a magical and special place for me as it is the Pyrenees. It is not the first time that I delight in praising this place, but although we always censored in the same positions with the same views, every day you would discover something new that you had not figure out or you would be amazed again by the beauty of each one of its corners. If you add to that, to be able to observe passing over your head a show as impressive as the one that hundreds of specimens of species like black kite, common swift, barn swallow, house martin, honey buzzard, common crane ... . in a single day staying in at almost 2000 meters.... words are missing to describe what it feels like.

Y por último y por ello no menos importante, por trabajar en equipo con un grupo de personas con las que he aprendido mucho, tanto laboral como personalmente y con las que sin ellas en el día a día de largas jornadas con inclemencias meteorológicas o poco paso migratorio, habría sido mucho más duro y menos llevadero. A Marta, Pilar, Marco, Ángela (técnicos) y Luis, Pablo y Sofía (logística y dirección) mil gracias por todo.
Finally but not least important, for working as a team with a group of people with whom I have learned a lot, work and personally and with whom without them in the day to day of long days with inclement weather or little migratory pass, it would have been much harder and less bearable.
